Joe Walsh has a long history of personal financial struggles.  In 2010, Joe Walsh was sued by his ex-wife for failing to pay over $100,000 in back child support.  She went to court repeatedly to get him to pay up.  Her lawsuit showed that Walsh did not pay his child support, but managed to loan his political campaign $35,000 and take vacations to Mexico and Italy.  Walsh had his congressional wages garnished to repay the back child support he owed and finally settled the case earlier this year.
