Republican Re-Runs
Democrats are hard at work on an agenda to take our country in a New Direction, to change the way Congress does business, and to get to work addressing the real challenges facing the American people.
Some Republicans who were removed from office last November missed the message and want more of the same by going back to the way things were under Tom DeLay. These "Republican Re-Runs" seem to miss the days when they Rubber Stamped George Bush's agenda benefiting oil companies and big drug companies, supported a culture of corruption, and cut student aid. That's why we're keeping a close watch on Republican Re-Runs -- a special group of former members of Congress who just can't seem to get enough of power for the sake of powerful.

New Hampshire voters sent Jeb Bradley packing after two terms in Washington, and for good reason. Bradley Rubber Stamped George Bush on Iraq, stood up for the Republican Culture of Corruption and refused to stand up for our troops and veterans. Now Bradley may run for Congress again and bring us more of the same. Haven't we had enough of Republican Re-Runs like Jeb Bradley?

The Republican Culture of Corruption and Jim Ryun are nearly impossible to separate. Ryun was a big supporter of disgraced former Majority Leader Tom DeLay -- he took thousands of dollars from DeLay and returned the favor by contributing to DeLay's legal defense fund, and voting to weaken ethics rules to protect DeLay. Ryun was a rubberstamp for the Bush Administration's policies in Iraq and voted against better health care for our National Guard. Ryan even opposed a bonus for our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan! Why would we want more of the same from a Republican Re-Run like Jim Ryun?

Melissa Hart spent six years in Congress standing up for oil companies, protecting the pharmaceutical companies and voting against bonuses for our troops in Iraq. She voted for the largest cut to student aid in history and voted to weaken ethics rules at the behest of Tom DeLay. America needs leaders who do what they say they're going to do. Why waste time on more of the same from Republican Re-Run Melissa Hart?

Mike Sodrel is planning to become a four-time Republican Re-Run. Sodrel spent his first and only term in Washington voting to Rubber Stamp the Bush Administration on Iraq, weakening ethics rules to protect Tom DeLay, opposing health care for the National Guard and supporting the largest cuts to student aid in history. Haven't we had enough of Mike Sodrel?
