DCCC Campaign Fellowship Program
The DCCC is currently accepting application for the Spring 2010 Fellowship Program.
The goal of the program is to give fellows an exposure to campaign experience in a congressional district. Fellows will work with the campaign team to help organize activists in the community and/or assist the finance operation with achieving its goals. Campaigns are a high paced environment and we're looking for people who are excited to help keep the House of Representatives Democratic!
The DCCC works with congressional races across the country. Fellows can select the region of the country they are interested in and the DCCC will work with those selected on campaign placement.
Fellowships are volunteer positions that offer an exciting opportunity to learn the intricacies of campaigns.
The deadline for applications to be submitted online is November 8th. Candidates will be notified before November 15th.
Fellowships are available in the following divisions:
Finance
The Finance Department raises the funds that are essential to running an aggressive campaign for Congress. The resources raised by this department help the campaign communicate its message effectively.
Fellows would have various duties. Examples of daily tasks include keeping track of candidate finances, processing donations, preparing mailings, and updating contact information for various groups. Fellows may also attend and staff local fundraising events
Field
The Field Department organizes local supporters to perform the voter contact necessary for the campaign to win. The primary goal of the field department is to connect the campaign to the community and to organize volunteers to speak to voters via canvassing, phone calls, and other methods of voter contact.
Fellow would have several responsibilities, including but not limited to, assisting the Field Director with overall administrative support, working with field staff to accomplish their goals, and representing the campaign and local meetings and events.
