Official Rules and Restrictions

  • -- Entries will be accepted from 12:01 p.m. EST on Friday, May 16th to 11:59 EST on Monday, August 11th, 2008.
  • -- Only individual volunteers 18 years or older who are U.S. citizens or U.S. resident aliens may enter the contest. Corporations (including non-profit corporations) are expressly prohibited from entering the contest.
  • -- Your entry must be submitted electronically to: http://www.dccc.org/convcontest1, and must include your name, mailing address, phone number, and email address.
  • -- Winner shall be randomly selected from all eligible entries before August 22, 2008.
  • -- The winners shall be notified by email on or before August 11, 2008, and shall be required to complete an affidavit or declaration of eligibility and liability release. Failure to comply within 5 days after the date printed on the prize notification may result in disqualification of winning entry and random selection of another entrant as the winner. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is not responsible for and shall not be liable for late, lost, misdirected, or unsuccessful efforts to notify winners.
  • -- The winners shall receive a paid trip (flight and accommodations) to Denver, Colorado from Sunday August 24th-Thursday August 28th during the Democratic Convention by the DCCC.
  • -- No purchase necessary. Contributing to the DCCC will not improve your chances of winning. You may enter the contest as many times as you like without a contribution by entering here.
  • -- This contest is sponsored and run by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, headquartered at 430 S. Capitol Street, S.E., Washington, D.C. 20003. A copy of these rules and the winner's names may be obtained by writing to the DCCC. Requests must be received by August 1, 2008.
  • -- This contest is subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited by law. Residents of Washington state are not eligible to win.
  • -- Employees, independent contractors, officers, and directors of the DCCC, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies, and legal advisors, and the immediate family members and persons living in the same household of such persons, are not eligible to participate in this contest.
  • -- By participating, entrants agree that the DCCC and its agents and representatives are not responsible or liable for, and shall be released and held harmless from, any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with or resulting from participation in this contest, including winning this contest, including without limitation, claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy.
  • -- The DCCC reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend or cancel this contest. Information collected from entrants is subject to the DCCC's security and privacy policy. The DCCC will not provide your contact information to any other organization without authorization. This contest is offered only in the 50 United States and the District of Columbia (residents of Washington state are not eligible to win). All issues concerning the administration of this contest shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with the laws of the District of Columbia.
