Democratic Hispanic members have worked for opportunity and progress for Hispanic Americans and for all Americans. There are currently 21 Hispanic House Democrats. Congressman Charlie Gonzalez is Chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus and several Hispanic members hold key leadership positions in the House including: Caucus Vice Chair Xavier Becerra, Linda Sánchez and Nydia Velázquez, Ranking Members of the Ethics and Small Business committees, respectively.
Our Democratic Hispanic Members are working to elect more Hispanic Democrats to Congress, win the Majority, and re-elect President Obama.
They are focused on creating jobs, strengthening our schools, ensuring Americans have access to affordable health care, protecting Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid, and standing up for comprehensive immigration reform.
Now with Election Day approaching, our Hispanic House Members, Democrats, and President Obama are committed to reigniting the American dream. Together we must build ladders of opportunity for anyone willing to work hard and play by the rules, so everyone can succeed.
