Campaign 2010

Welcome to the Birther Club, Cory Gardner

Cory Gardner has confirmed his membership in the fringe movement Birther Club.

First, he told a group that the Obama Administration was ‘trying to say' that President Obama was born in the United States.

Then, his campaign manager told the Fort Collins Coloradoan that Gardner believes Obama is ‘most likely' a citizen.

"Cory Gardner's throwing his lot in with a fringe movement whose central belief has repeatedly been proven false," said Andy Stone, Western Regional Press Secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.  "When given the chance, this ‘Young Gun' failed to shoot straight or put the controversy to rest, even though the rumor has been debunked, discredited and disproved."
