There She Goes Again: Bono Mack Takes Credit for Project She Voted Against
For a while it seemed like every couple of weeks brought a new attempt from Rep. Mary Bono Mack to take credit for a project she voted against: the I-10 improvements, the clean energy grant for Hemet and even funding for sheriff’s deputies and police officers in Riverside County and several Coachella Valley police departments.
And while it has been quiet in recent weeks, today the Mary Bono Mack hypocrisy machine is roaring back to life.
After all, Bono Mack is appearing this morning at the groundbreaking event for the Palm Springs Airport’s new control tower – even though she voted against tower funding!
"With a hypocrisy-packed record like hers, the fact that Mary Bono Mack is taking credit for the new airport tower after voting against millions in tower funding that enabled the project to move forward should come as a surprise to absolutely no one," said Andy Stone, Western Regional Press Secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. "Time after time, Bono Mack’s touted projects locally despite voting against them, a routine that’s wearing thin in Riverside County because voters are sick of Bono Mack’s Washington-as-usual style politics."
