Representative Reichert Votes Against Major Road Improvements in King and Pierce Counties

In a remarkable move, Representative Dave Reichert voted against major improvements that will put Washingtonians to work and upgrade transit routes in Sammamish, Orting and Eatonville.

"Twice, Representative Reichert could have voted to support major improvements to E Sammamish Lake Parkway, Route 162 in Orting and upgrades to the transit network in Eatonville - and put Washingtonians to work.  And twice, Reichert just said ‘no' to what's best for King and Pierce Counties," said Andy Stone, Western Regional Press Secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

Funding for the Route 162 rechannelization in Orting, upgrades to E Sammamish Lake Parkway NE in Sammamish, along with funding for Eatonville in the Rural Town Centers and Corridors Program was included in the landmark economic recovery package that was recently signed into law.
