Representative Brady Just Says ‘No’ to Major Roads Improvements on Interstate 10

In a remarkable move, Representative Kevin Brady (TX-08) voted against at least $12 million in major road improvements that will put Texans to work and will make it easier to travel along parts of Interstate 10 between Beaumont and Orange.

"Twice, Representative Brady could have voted to support major transportation improvements in Texas to put Texans to work and improve safety.  And twice, Representative Brady just said ‘no,' to improving Interstate 10," said Jessica Santillo, Southern Regional Press Secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

At least $12 million in funding for safety and maintenance projects on I-10 in Jefferson, Hardin, and Orange Counties was included in the landmark economic recovery package that was recently signed into law.
