Question for Representative Rooney’s Foreclosure Workshop:

If Representative Rooney Wants to Help Homeowners, Why Did He Oppose the Helping Families Save Their Homes Act of 2009?

Less than two weeks after voting against legislation that would help families facing foreclosure, Representative Tom Rooney's office will hold a workshop today about - you guessed it - helping families facing foreclosure.

"Representative Tom Rooney had the chance to help Floridians facing foreclosure and he towed the Rush Limbaugh party line instead by voting against helping families stay in their homes," said Jessica Santillo, Southern Regional Press Secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.  "The truth is Representative Rooney is one of the biggest obstacles facing Florida homeowners."

Instead of doing one thing in Washington and saying another in Florida, will Representative Rooney come clean about his record of voting against help for homeowners facing foreclosure?
